Northwestern
PHYSICS
DEMONSTRATIONS
MAIN PAGE
Here you will find information
about many of the lecture demonstrations that are available for the physics
courses at Northwestern.
Click
on the topic to get a menu of demonstrations in that catagory.
By
clicking on a demonstation, you will go to a page describing that
demonstration. The DCS# is the Demonstration Classification
Scheme number set up by the Physics Instructional Resource Association
(PIRA) of the Americian Association of Physics Teachers. Google
the number to see how other physics departments describe and use the
demonstration.
We strongly recommend that you practise the
demonstration before presenting it to your classes. It is
also
wise to let us know a day ahead which demonstrations you would
like to use so it can be set up for your use.
