title: DIFFRACTION  Spectrum
aka:

Description:
A white light is direected through a slit and a diffraction grating to produce a spectrum.  A front surface mirror is used to increase the throw and thus the spread of the resulting spectrum.
Also available are hand held diffraction gratings to examine the spectrum from gas discharge tubes and white lights.

Questions:
If a green/red/blue filter were placed in the path of the light, what would the spectrum look like?
    Which color/wavelength bends the most?
