title: Force between current carrying wires

12 V marine batteries are shorted through braided cables with one switch.  A second switch reverses the current in one wire.   The wires hang under their own weight parallel to each other.  Oil is placed on the wires for a dramatic smoking effect.

How would you employ the right hand rule for magnetic fields around a wire and the right hand motor rule to determine the direction of the force on the wires?
