A toy Van de Graaff, it produces an end that is positively charged when the button is pushed. A very light cut of aluminized mylar inflates when charged, and can be floated in air by the repulsive electric field.
Questions:
Would this work on the moon? (ie. with lower gravity and in a vacuum?)
Why does the mylar expand as it does?
